are yall in the know about the wide & wild world of twitter baby rp? my only wish is to understand the motives behind roleplaying a baby. i do not want to mock baby rp. i find this content relatable. i want nothing but to reach a point where i grasp the etiquette and norms of this online society of powerful babies. i want to know why so many of them are lying in busy roads
this is an ages old internet thing, the urgency of the lying in the road guilts ppl into picking up their RP starter and generally distinguishes them as boring and unimaginitave. It’s hilarious, I don’t exactly know the psychology behind roleplaying a baby if all youre gonna do is write *cries!!* but I do have some knowledge about its history.
on the old game VMK a disney game that got taken down there were troves of baby rpers but the word BABY was filtered out so they called themselves “bay bee” and would write shit like - Sits on Road in Pizza Box, Needs Mummy or Will Pass Away - and I theorize a good chunk of them were kids sort of playing an imagination game.
then there’s people who RP children and develop them like they would any character, i have a character i write who’s ten, but usually thats RPers who have coherent story lines. The “baby” rp community on sites aimed for younger kids is just an awkward and objectively hilarious cesspit of drama, extremely unfortunate characters and disorganized alt accounts made after an arguement.
On games like club penguin and other customizable avatar/chat games it’s extremely popular, and discussions of it reached other parts of the internet.
